ABOUT
My name is Erin DeSalvo and I am the proud owner and care provider for Acorns to Oaks Child Care. We are a state licensed family home day care. It is my mission to provide a strong foundation for your child's future by facilitating a safe, loving, and nurturing learning environment.

I have had extensive experience caring for and providing a safe environment for children. I graduated Summa Cum Laude at SUNY Cortland in NY, where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Spanish Education and International Studies. My passion for teaching stems from my role as a camp counselor and director, providing a safe and fun environment for over 150 children for 10 years. I also taught Spanish and did private tutoring. Most recently I was a head assistant at another home daycare before my employer encouraged me to begin my own child care journey.
Acorns to Oaks Child Care is a licensed daycare with the State of Virginia, located in my home. My goal is to give your child a home away from home where he/she can grow, learn, and play. Children will enjoy a variety of developmentally applicable learning and play activities through out the day. Give your child a chance to develop problem solving and socialization skills with our very low teacher to child ratio. This benefit that other larger daycare facilities can't offer, allows your child to receive the full attention they deserve. Child Safety
Your child's safety is our number one priority. As a professional child care provider and parent, I understand the importance of safety first. We follow all Virginia State standards for licensed daycares. We have extensively designed our home day care to protect your child. Our cribs, crib mattresses, and high chairs are all certified for safety. In addition, all providers and assistants are certified in First Aid and CPR. We have a first aid kit, fire extinguishers, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and safety gates in place for added safety. Another benefit of the low teacher to child ratio allows us to manage safety at a high level.

As a parent myself, I understand how crucial a safe, nurturing, and friendly environment is to a child's development. Here at Acorns to Oaks, we have crafted a specially designed program to cater to the different levels of development for infants and toddlers.
